Barbara's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Niedziela, who was born on December 11, 1930, and left this world on March 9, 2025. Barbara was a vibrant, witty jokester known for her unfiltered wisdom and her undying spirit of resilience, even during challenging times. Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter Niedziela, her cherished daughter Tammy Niedziela, her parents, Aulden McLean and Louise Butler, as well as her siblings Albert McLean, Dora Cameron, Joan Letwinski, Tony McLean, Shirley Tuck, and Bob McLean.

Barbara's sassy spirit and love for life will be carried forward by her surviving children, Kerry Bryant, Lorie Bint, Terry Niedziela, and Dale Niedziela. Surviving sister Diane Steele. Her children-in-law, Jim Bryant, Joyce Janas, and Mike Walker. Her grandchildren, Jessie Bint, Jamie Bint, Danny Niedziela, Ashley Peeler, Denielle Thomas, Cori Thomas and Allison Grace. Their memories of Barbara will be cherished in their hearts for many years to come.

One of Barbara's most significant achievements was starting a successful cleaning business, a testament to her indefatigable spirit and hard work. The family also fondly remembers her love for simple pleasures like coffee, and cigarettes and some of her favorite snacks like Slim Jims, Rice Krispy treats and popsicles. Barbara enjoyed watching Perry Mason on television and playing the card game 'Murder' with her family and winning all the quarters. She never showed up to a family gathering without her jar of quarters ready to play cards. She always reminded others to pay keen attention while playing cards, a pastime she thoroughly enjoyed besides her morning coffee sessions. She will also be sorely missed by her cat Kiki, fondly known as Hobo.

Barbara's passing is a reminder of the fleeting nature of life, but her indomitable spirit will forever remain a beacon of strength and resilience for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of courage, reminding all those left behind that strength is there, even when one feels it is not.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on April 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM at 16530 M-36, Stockbridge, MI. As we bid farewell to Barbara, let us remember her not with tears, but with fond memories, laughter, and the enduring lessons she has left us with. In her memory, may we always strive to live life joyfully, with sass, wit, and an unfiltered perspective, just as she did.

Until we meet again, Barbara, you will always remain in our hearts.
