Barbara Lenington passed away on April 16, 2025, in Carmichael, California. Born on November 12, 1961, in Sacramento, California, Barbara’s life began and ended in the Golden State she called home.

Throughout her life, Barbara witnessed and experienced so much. She also impacted people's lives in a deep and positive way through her humor, wisdom, and the maternal need to nurture those who needed it. She was active in helping the homeless, helping lost pets find their homes, excelled in artistic application, loved working in law enforcement, and loved her music. She founded and headed the school PTA in the elementary school where her children attended. She was very active with the school board, and often worked as the secretary or nurse in charge.

She was an exceptional and protective mother, and raised two sons that experienced the loss of their mother way too soon.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Meadows, sisters Angie Tritz and Susan Brooks, brothers Roy Brooks, James Gallagher, and Michael Gallagher, grandparents Gloria and Louis Brazil, nephew Kevin Harrison, and niece Jasmine Bentley.

She is survived by her loving husband Farley "Ray" Lenington Jr., sons Sebastian Lenington and Johnny Frazier, her grandson Jaden Frazier, her sisters Diana Lopes and Robin Carlisle, her brother Jess Gallagher, many nieces and nephews, and so many close friends. Our memories of her, and knowing she is reunited with her beloved mother, comfort our family at this difficult time.
