Barbara's obituary
Barbara Ann Kalbaugh passed away at 11pm on January 9th, in Middletown, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William P. Kalbaugh, her sons Bruce, Bradley, and Brandon and their spouses, and her 8 grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Howard and Anna, and her brothers Don and Derwood.
She was born on July 2, 1939 in Carbondale Pennsylvania, but was raised in Middletown, NY. She was a proud member of Web Horton Church and graduate of Middletown High School, class of 1957, and Orange County Community College. As an adult, she also lived in various areas, but Middletown, NY is the place she always called home and where she raised her boys. It was there Barb could be seen working at the business her father founded, the Orange County Dairy Laboratory until it closed after 50 years of business.
Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother, supportive sister and loyal daughter. Much of her professional career was spent caring for seniors in living facilities. She was a caretaker in every sense of the word and wanted to make sure that every member of her family was looked after. Whether it was her children, her nieces and nephews, her brothers, her mother, or even an elderly neighbor who needed someone to talk to, if someone needed caring for, Barb would be there.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Oak Hill Village, in Middletown, PA, for their kindness and attentiveness to her care over the last few years of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you make a donation to one of the following charitable organizations in her name: https://middletownarts.org/do… Or https://www.alz.org/get-invol…
