Buzzie's obituary

Barbara Jean Colado Anderson (aka Buzzie), age 87, went home to be with her Lord on May 25, 2025.

The daughter of Guy F. Colado and Jeanette "Dickie" Dickson Colado, Buzzie was born on December 27, 1937 in Winter Park, FL. She loved to speak of her childhood and bragged of days where she sold eggs door to door to the neighbors, swam with the alligators at Dinky Dock, and traveled to Ana Maria to spend the summer at the family beach house with a multitude of cousins. Buzzie was a proud "Winter Park Wildcat" and enjoyed swimming, girl scouts and meeting her sweetheart, Richard "Andy" Anderson in high school. She remained close to her Wildcat classmates her entire life.

Buzzie married her love Andy and raised her two boys who loved hunting, fishing and baseball. She was known as a vibrant, out-going soul who invested her life into her family and many friends. She loved learning new skills and sharing them with others - cross stitching, weaving, and hammock making to name a few. But most of all she cherished the time she had at her home on Lake Norris and the fellowship she had there with her family and friends sharing food, laughter and making memories.

She is survived by her brother Guy Colado (Donna), nephew Ray, niece Jeannette, Richard Kuhnen (her friend and largest support and advocate during her illness), Coco and the many others who called her friend.

Buzzie is preceded in death by her husband Richard Anderson, her sons Barry Anderson and Stephen Anderson, and her beloved Jack Russell Terrier Sam I Am.

Buzzie’s life will be celebrated at Lakeview Terrace on June 21st at 10 a.m.
