Barbara was my neighbor who lived across the street in Fair Oaks for many years and I have many fond memories of those years. She was a beautiful lady and beloved friend.

I first met Barbara when she was secretary in the Nursing Department of Sierra College in 1976. I was new to the department as well as new to the teaching profession. Although I had been an RN for many years in a hospital setting, teaching was a new and different challenge.
Barbara with her kindness and warmth helped to relieve my anxiety. She was also efficient as well as being the calm knowledgeable face of the Nursing Program. During the time that Barbara worked at Sierra College, we became great friends, keeping in touch across the many moves and many miles.
I miss her messages of concern and love for me and my family and am thankful for having had our many years of friendship.
I know how much she loved her family and how much she was loved in return. i feel privileged to have shared in her life and to have experienced her goodness. Along with my sorrow for your loss, I send you an affirmation that the memory of our her will always be with me. Sending love to you all.

We were so fortunate to share a table multiple times with Mrs. Champion. (Still the coolest name ever in my opinion) A truly good and kind woman. Keeping you all in our hearts as you grieve an unimaginable loss
