Barbara was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi alongside her younger sister and brother, Anna and Charles Giles. She graduated from a small community college with a degree in business. Shortly thereafter, she met Ronald Henry and began creating a beautiful family. 

Barbara and Ronald had two accomplished sons, Byron Henry (49) and Darian Henry (45). Barbara was able to help raise all five of her grandchildren, this includes: Alaana Henry (19), Bryson Henry (17), Alyssa Henry (16), Aaliyah Henry (14), and the youngest Bryont Henry (12).

In her final moments, Barbara was surrounded by her loved ones before heading to the heavenly gates. She will be remembered as a compassionate woman who uplifted her community and always put family first. She stood in Christ and instilled her values to her extensive family. She will forever be missed.
