I was adopted in 1970. I just recently found out Barbara Ann was my biological mom.

I have been looking for her recently (9/25/25). I shed tears hearing about her passing. My name is Dawn. My phone 716-901-2888 I live in Lancaster NY.

Bless her soul and rest in peace.

"OMG - so very sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. Had tried several times last year to reach her, as we would connect once or twice a year. She talked about her girls all the time. When we couldn’t reach her I found this. My heart breaks for you girls- she loved you all so very much. Your moms smile and laughter was so heartwarming, not to mention her quick wit and comebacks.
I met her through Sue Jackson whose parents Norm and Audrey Naab lived next door and were good friends from Buffalo too. When visiting Silver Thatch Sue and I could usually talk your incredible mom into a beach day or a dinner out. Those times were filled with so much laughter and stories of Buffalo and her beautiful daughters.
The sky shines brighter now as another angel watches over those she loves. She was so very proud of each of her girls.

Barbara was a one of a kind person that touched the hearts of all whom knew her. When I first moved to Coral Springs I became neighbors and played with Britt and Jill but got to know “Miss Collins” because of her work at Maplewood elementary school. The neighborhood kids used to enjoy going to her home not just to raid the pantry of Britt and Jills candies and food :) but just to talk to Barbara and see the bunnies and animals. I have some many great memories that I could share and the fact my family was a die hard Buffalo Bills fan didn’t hurt either. We are all saddened by the loss but will forever cherish the moments spent in her presence and will ask for her help in all future Bills playoff games. Love all of the Collins family and am here for you always.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Druzbik
