Barbara Joan Connelly, age 84 of Morganton, GA passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Pruitt Health of Blue Ridge, GA. She was born on June 14, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frederick and Albertus Durn. Barbara had worked as a waitress. She was of the Episcopal Faith. Barbara enjoyed being neighborly, working word search puzzles, coloring, growing flowers and plants, animals, going out to eat with family and friends.

Survivors are her husband of fifty-three years, Tom Connelly of Morganton, GA; son, Donald Stauffer (Mary) of Joplin, MO; daughter, Elizabeth Thomas (Robert) of Copperhill, TN; grandchildren, David Stauffer, Jason Stauffer, Rachel Anne Zeigler and Christopher Ian Ferraro; great-grandchildren, Logan Anne Zeigler and Levi Zeigler and feline companion; Good Boy.

Graveside services for Mrs. Connelly will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with Chaplain Joel Chastain officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinscobb.com
