Barbara's obituary
(Unofficial Obituary) A heartfelt remembrance written by her sister. š¹
Barbara Ann Burchett Eddy, born November 17, 1952, in Russellville, Kentucky (Logan County), passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, under the compassionate care of hospice.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Olan C. Burchett and Lillian O. Burchett, as well as her brother, Ronald C. Burchett.
Raised primarily in Clarksville, Tennessee, Barbaraās life was shaped by her involvement in the Methodist church she attended throughout her youth. A pianist who found comfort and joy in music, she gave her life to the Lord during those early years. After moving to Ohio, she continued to play in her spare time and took great pleasure in studying Godās Word.
Barbara graduated from Vermilion High School in Vermilion, Ohio, Class of 1970, and in recent years she greatly enjoyed reconnecting with her classmates and reminiscing about those formative times in her life.
She poured her heart into her family, and when her health allowed, she embraced the hobbies that brought her happiness: boating, jewelry making, photography, and spending time outdoors. She had a natural eye for beauty and delighted in capturing the perfect photograph. She loved to laugh, cherished music from the 1960s, and was an enthusiastic country music fan ā especially fond of Blake Shelton.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Rick Eddy; her three sons, Brian, David, and Greg; her four grandchildren; and her sister, Debbie, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, who will forever hold her memory close. Though no viewing or service was held, her family and friends carry her tenderly in their hearts. We do not grieve as those without hope, for we trust in the promise of reunion through our Lord.
āBut I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep,Ā that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.āĀ ~Ā 1 Thessalonians 4:13, KJV
