BarBara Ione Boddy, 87 years old, of Waianae, passed away at her home on January 30th, 2019.
She was born in McVille, ND on August 2, 1931. She moved to Hawaii in 1961 where she has lived in Wai’anae with her husband and family until her recent passing. BarBara earned her Master’s in Counseling and Guidance from UH, worked as a Voc. Rehab Counselor for years. She loved to sing and was a 30+ year member of the Honolulu Symphony Chorus, Hawaii Opera Chorus and her church choir, as well as other local choral groups.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley R. Boddy in 2012.
She is survived by her son, Paul Boddy (Robin-wife), daughter, Maria Scheidt (Daniel-husband), grandchildren: Conrad Scheidt (Karlene-wife), Erin Scheidt ; great grandchildren: Levonzel Scheidt, Kawela Scheidt; siblings: Clara (Khaled)Settevig, Russell(Sandy)Settevig, David(Bette)Settevig, Karen Settevig as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
