My mom list her battle with cancer on May 7, 2019. She was only 68. She had no life insurance, will, anything really, as she never thought about death. She was fearless, headstrong, and a fighter. She originally found out in 2013 that she had breast cancer and after undergoing a double masectomy, chemo, and radiation, she spent 5 years in remission. She had other health issues too, but was always full of life. She found out in March 2019 that the cancer had come back and she was willing to do chemo again. Sadly after undergoing to major sugeries and having complete renal failure, she never regained her strength and the doctors said that chemo would take her life instantly. She was put on hospice three days before she passed. My sister and i do not have the means to carry out my moms wishes of being cremated and spreading her ashes in New Orleans. This has come as a major blow, especially since we are dealing with the loss of my sister's father-in-law passing just days before our mom. We are hoping that this memorial page will help be a solution to the the financial crisis we are in. We want to be able to lay her to rest and follow through with the only requests out mom had.
