December of 1964 I was invited to a party by my neighbor Richard Cornick.  Reluctantly I accepted the invitation.  At the party I meet a bubbly lady by the name of Babs. The type of personalty that made me feel I had known her all my life.

This friendship would go on all these years. Even between many dry spots where we would not talk or see each other for months or even years. When we did connect again, it was just like  yesterday and we would pick up where we left off. More times than I can count, she let me cry on her shoulder (difficult over the phone). Babs was always supportive and with very kind (mostly) remarks. Our great times included restaurant hopping. We played shuffle board at every location we could. The object is to slide the salt shaker across the table without it fallowing off.

Friendships like this are far and few between. I will miss this special one very much. The next time you look at a salt shaker remember Babs,  because I will !

Babs was always an upbeat person who had a great sense of humor - I worked with her at Motorola & later when retired we would meet for our Red Hat lunches - she will be greatly missed.  A wonderful mom & grandmother who loved her family.

We really miss knowing that she was there,  just a phone call away.   We weren't great at staying in touch, but she was always in our thoughts.   We are so sorry for your loss.

Bab's was just always there. I didn't have any family out here and she was there for all the stuff with me, April and the kids. I couldn't believe how she and April would talk so openly (and loudly) to each other.   I remember when she did the Red Hat society and would wear this over the top hat with purple pants. She would strut when she walked in on her way to the lunch. My kids where like WOW look at Babs is she having a dress up day?  I had to expalin to the kids that she and the other ladies were not playing dress up tea party.   When we told Babs she cracked up.

I knew Sam and Babe since 1966 when Sam and I were stationed in California and then in Georgia and then in North Carolina.  I have good memories of all of us - Sam, Babs, my wife at the time and myself getting together in our off duty times.  I especially remember celebrating my 21st birthday together in CA and one of our excursions to Stinson Beach in July and going for a swim in the VERY cold Pacific Ocean.  I am sorry for the family loss and I am sure she will be missed.

Barb was a good friend to my mom and our family for many years. We had a lot of good times and great memories. Our sincere condolences to the family.

Not many can say they went to Arizona for spring break during college and spent time with their cousin (Babs) “eyeballing young men in tight white pants.” Spring training was fabulous and so was our time together. She always referred to me as the best flower girl in history as I was an infant and slept through the entire ceremony!
I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  I worked with Babs for a majority of my 23 years with General Dynamics / Motorola.  Babs was the first person to contact me for my first interviews with Dotti Morris Currens and her team.  She was, at the time, working as the Executive Assistant for HR. Babs was welcoming and warm, helpful and kind.  I am thankful that she was able to retire and spend time with her precious grandkids and the rest of the family.  You all were her joy.  We frequently heard tales of the family that warmed our hearts.  God Bless and Prayers for you as you go through this sorrowful time.  I am blessed to have known Babs. - Dana George

So sorry to hear this.  Babs was always full of laughter every time I entered the Human Resources department at Motorola/General Dynamics.  Always laughing and smiling.  We used to share stories about out grandkinds.  God bless all of you.
