It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Barbara "Sissy" Green. Known affectionately as Sissy, but preferring to be addressed as Barbara, she was born on September 14, 1952, and peacefully departed on May 13, 2024.

Barbara was a vibrant and caring individual who lived a life full of love and meaningful experiences. She brought joy and warmth to those around her and will be deeply missed by her families and friends.

Barbara leaves behind two daughters, Tasha McNeill and Tamara "Tammy" Green, who, like their mother, imbue their lives with kindness and positivity. Their presence in Barbara's life undeniably filled it with joy and purpose.She also leaves three grandchildren, TaJon Swafford, Jasmine Sands, Morgan Sands, and bonus grandchildren, Alya, Sean, Justin, and Destiny McNeill, who was the apple of their grandmother's eye. Barbara was incredibly proud of her family and always cherished the moments spent together.

Barbara is survived sisters, Susie Terry and Paula Spencer.

She was predeceased by her parents, Moses and Emma Green; siblings, Sandra Green, Victor Green, and Daniel Green.

A Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held on June 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at 301 S Alfred St. Prior to the celebration, the family will have a visitation that will begin at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are being collected for the National Alliance on Mental Illness in New Mexico (NAMI-NM). Barbara's generous spirit will continue to touch lives by supporting this worthy cause. Donations can be made at the following website: https://everloved.com/life-of….
