Barbara's obituary
Barbara Baker, woman of grace, compassion, and strength, was born on July 29, 1962 and was called home on September 2, 2023. Despite her time on earth being short-lived, the enduring impression she left on her family and friends cannot be measured in years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Baker, who treasured her gentle yet resilient and fiery spirit. Also grieving are her precious children, sons Robert Richardson, Dustin Baker and daughter Tiffany Beuley. Her legacy lives on in her cherished grandchildren Jonathan Richardson, Chevy Beuley, Jenna Pippen, Harlee Pippen, and great granddaughter Mackenzie Richardson.
Barbara's memory is also held dear by her beloved mother, Ruth Curtis, and a large host of siblings including Kenneth Vredingburgh, Polly Greenbaum, Dolly Sullins, Leona Curtis, William Curtis, and Michael Curtis. Barbara's son-in-law Robert Carter and her mother-in-law Barbara Baker continue to honor her absence and uplift her memory.
She is preceded in death by her darling daughters Amanda and Kimberly Beuley, cherished brother David Curtis, and her father, Charles Vredingburgh. She also joins her caring grandmother, Ruby Hampton Newcom in eternal rest.
Barbara was an individual who was always ready and willing to help others. Her life's mantra, "Life is short. Always count your blessings", epitomized her optimistic outlook. Her legacy is one of strength, reflected in her battles and her unwavering conviction to support those in need.
In memory of her beautiful spirit, a memorial service will be held on September 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Rose of Sharon Church. Following her selfless nature, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to any Lupus Research Foundation to honor Barbara and support those who continue to fight the battle she braved.
