Barbara Anders, 67, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away on July 25th, 2024, after an extended battle with a severe case of pneumonia. She was born to this world, Barbara Lewis, on May 20th, 1957, to Carl and Eleanor Lewis. She grew up as part of a lovingly rambunctious family of five siblings, Carl, Sharon, Robert, Edward, and herself.

Barbara was always packed full of energy and bouncing off the walls, from the day she was born. She grew up in Colorado, an aspiring gymnast in youth, one of the few outlets she found to channel her energy. After graduating High School, she found herself in a range of roles, from clerical work, to qualified CPA, to the years she spent at the medical office alongside her sister Sharon, working her way up from records to become one of the most trusted associates in the office.

She first met Shawn in junior-high, and though life started them on different paths, the two of them would come back together years later, reuniting, to join in union on September 23rd, 1989. The two would be destined for nearly 35 years of marriage, living together and loving together.

She grew to become a proud mother, a rigorous gardener, and a staunch Hockey fan. She loved music, she loved to dance, and in her kindness, had truly never met a stranger. Her pure, unbridled positive energy and sense of humor brought so much joy to everyone around her. And though the period buzzer must buzz, and flowers must come to seed, it is the proud memory of her smile that will stay with us, eternal.

She is survived by her husband Shawn Anders, her son Zach Anders, and her brothers, Edward and Robert Lewis, amongst many other loving friends and family.

We will all miss her, so very deeply.
