Bailey's obituary

Bailey Guillermo Sandoval, of Chula Vista, CA, passed away on March 1, 2026, from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Bailey was best remembered as a fighter.

Bailey was an enthusiast and practitioner of mixed-martial arts (MMA). Later in his life, Bailey began to participate in competitive amateur matches, eventually reaching the point where he competed in Epic Fighting 64, an MMA event that was broadcast on YouTube. Bailey was a beloved gym member and sparring partner, leaving behind a loving and supportive community of fellow MMA enthusiasts.

Bailey was also a fighter for marginalized youth. Bailey worked in several non-profit and public organizations focused on providing educational and enrichment services and programming to foster and homeless youth. Bailey cared deeply about improving the lives of young people, particularly those undergoing serious challenges. Throughout his career, Bailey was a tireless advocate for the well-being of the youth under his care and fought for their comfort and dignity.

Bailey also fought to sustain meaningful relationships with a wide group of friends and family. In his life, Bailey forged close bonds with his immediate family, serving as a guiding light for his younger sibling, a confidante for his older siblings, and a loving and committed son to his parents. Bailey’s commitment to meaningful relationships extended to cousins, aunts, and uncles, as well as close friends.

Bailey is survived by his older siblings, Johnathan, Carlos, and Jentsein; his younger sibling, Charlie; his mother, Laura; his father, Carlos; the love of his life, Jessica; and countless friends and family.

A memorial service for Bailey will be held on Saturday, March 14, at 6 PM at Funeraria del Angel in Chula Vista, CA.
