Awilda's obituary
Awilda Perez, a woman of great heart and spirit, passed away on the 10th of August, 2023, beyond the veil of our world. She was born on the 10th of January, 1970, and spent her 53 years spreading kindness and bringing joy to those she encountered.
Her life, though cut short, was full and rich. She had an innate ability to turn the ordinary into something magical and the ability to fill every room with laughter. She lived her life to the fullest, always seeking to make the world around her a bit brighter, a tad kinder and infinitely more beautiful.
Awilda is survived by her siblings and parents, all of who she loved dearly. She leaves behind her sister, Wanda Perez, who shared with her a bond that transcended sisterhood, transforming into unwavering friendship. Her mother, Elizabeth Perez, carried her with a love only a mother can give, and her father, Jorge Perez, cloaked her with a father's protective love.
She is also survived by her brother, Pedro Perez. She and Pedro shared many fond and oftentimes hilarious memories that will forever be cherished. Their camaraderie and bond are an inspiration to all siblings.
Awilda's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. However, her spirit and zest for life will continue to inspire and guide us. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life lived in full measure.
In remembering Awilda, we recall the profound words of Maya Angelou; "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel". Awilda Perez made us feel loved and cherished, and for that, she will remain etched in our hearts and minds forever.
