Avis Y. Berryman, 69, of Stafford County, passed away on August 7, 2025.

Born to the late Katherine and Conway Berryman, Avis was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love, guidance, and strength touched all who knew her. She worked for many years as a cook at Bob Evans in Stafford, Virginia, where she was appreciated for her dedication, warm smile, and kind spirit.

Beyond her professional life, Avis cherished being surrounded by family and friends—playing cards, just having a good time, and sharing laughter. These joyful moments were at the heart of who she was and created memories her family and great friends will treasure forever.

She is survived by her daughter, Demetria (Calation); her son, Ricky (Latonya); and her beloved grandchildren: Demetrius, Darius, Jervaughn, Devin, Dishon, Janae, and Savannah.

Avis is also survived by her siblings: Wayne (Deborah) of Stafford, Myra of Stafford, Pamela of Hopewell, Wanda (Gerald)Deborah (Ricky) of Manassas, Maurice (Theresa) of Front Royal, Lisa (Gerald) Keith (April) of Front Royal, and Michelle (Edward); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great friends who will forever cherish her memory.
