Austin Michael McCallister, also known as Clarence “Tony” Edward Caron, 56, of Claremont, New Hampshire, passed away on March 6, 2026.

He was born February 19, 1970, in Bennington, Vermont, to the late Robert and Sharon Caron of Shaftsbury, Vermont.

Austin loved music and especially enjoyed singing country songs. Fishing was one of his greatest passions and became a treasured tradition within his family. The memories made on fishing trips were later passed down through his daughter to his grandchildren. Austin was known for his humor, his quick wit, and his ability to make people laugh with a well-timed joke.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Sharon Caron; his son, Jacob Anthony Caron of New Hampshire; and his younger brother, Robert “BJ” Edward Caron of Pownal, Vermont.

He is survived by his daughter, Tia Marie Dudley (TJ) of St. Albans, Vermont; his grandchildren, Elleigh and Daegen; his bonus grandchildren, Braelin and Amora; and his bonus son, Daemion of New Hampshire. He is also survived by his siblings, Mindy Jo Harrington of Vermont, Daniel Caron (Linda) of Vermont, and Andrea Cross (Luke) of Kentucky.

Austin will be remembered for his love of music, his passion for fishing, and the laughter he brought to those around him.

Services will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest at Chapel Road Cemetery in Bennington, Vermont.
