Aurora's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Aurora "MiMi" Haynes, who departed this life on October 10, 2023. Born in the year 1940, Aurora, who preferred being called "MiMi" given to her by her grandchildren, led a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Aurora was a nurturing soul, adored for her loud and kind-hearted personality. Her laughter filled rooms, her kindness touched hearts, and her cooking no one could compare. One of the best lessons she imparted to those around her was through the love of her cooking. Aurora would always say her cooking was a way of nurturing, a way of showing love, a tradition to pass on, especially her homemade cakes.
One of her most greatest accomplishments was raising four beautiful children and being a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren. In them, her spirit lives on, her lessons are remembered, and her love is still felt.
For those lucky enough to know Aurora, her legacy was one of kindness and love. She treated everyone she encountered with respect and compassion, believing in the power of love to bring out the best in people. A voice that will forever echo in the hearts of her loved ones is Aurora's melodious singing on Sunday mornings, a cherished memory that will continue to bring smiles and tears in equal measure.
As we remember Aurora, it is our hope that we carry on her legacy of love and kindness, and make her proud by embodying the lessons she so passionately imparted. Gone but never forgotten, she leaves behind a legacy that transcends time and generations.
