In Loving Memory of Aurora "Rory" Sue Haase
February 5, 2025 – July 2, 2025
Our beloved daughter, Aurora "Rory" Sue Haase, graced this world with her presence on February 5, 2025, and left us far too soon — but passed peacefully in the arms of her loving mother — on July 2, 2025.
Though her time here was brief, Rory filled our lives with a love so deep and pure, it will echo through the rest of our days. She had eyes like morning skies, a name full of light, and a soul that felt too beautiful for this world.
She was held in the arms of those who adored her every moment of her life. She never spoke a word, yet she taught us everything about love, courage, and the aching sweetness of saying hello and goodbye all at once.
Rory is forever loved by her parents, Kelly Geyer and Jamie Haase, and her siblings Kobe Geyer, Delaney Haase, and Nova Haase. She is deeply missed by her grandparents Fred and Genola Mason, Ernie Haase, Linda Rivera, and lovingly remembered alongside her late grandmother, Loretta Haase.
She is also cherished by her aunts and uncles: Katie Cummins, Amber Mason, Joey Rivera, Nicholas Rivera, and Chet Haase — and by all those who carried dreams for her in their hearts.
We will carry her always — in sunrises, in lullabies, and in every tender silence.
Our family is endlessly grateful to the incredible nurses, doctors, and staff of the NICU at Children’s Mercy Hospital, who became an extension of our family and cared for Rory throughout her entire life with compassion, tenderness, and unwavering dedication. Their love helped carry her — and us — through every moment.
“Though she be but little, she is fierce.” – William Shakespeare
A celebration of Rory’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ellie B's Event Space, 220 West St, Tonganoxie, KS 66086.
There will be food, drinks, and desserts, with a few words shared by Rev. Sarah Fravel, Fetal Health Care Staff Chaplain at Children’s Mercy. Toward the end of the evening, we will release butterflies in Rory’s honor — a gentle tribute to her beautiful, fleeting light.
Rory was cremated, and her spirit is now everywhere we go — in the breeze, in the stars, and always in our hearts.
