Aurel Damian, beloved husband and father, passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 86.

Aurel was a respected civil engineer with the City of Columbus as well as a consultant for several companies and The Ohio State University. He was a devoted member of the Lions Club and an avid gardener.

Aurel ,beloved husband of wife Carol , was a devoted family man and will be greatly missed by his daughters Jean (Mark)Cameron, and Cathy (Dave) Granitto and son Steve (Lee Ann) Damian as well as granddaughters Erin Guthrie and Nicole Pesa, Melissa Cameron and grandsons Adam and Jeffrey Granitto, Eric and Tyler Damian, and Bryan Cameron. He passes on his passion for community service, love of the Buckeyes and strong work ethic. He is preceded in death by his much loved daughter Vicki.

Friends and colleagues remember Aurel as a man of integrity and kindness. He was well-loved by those who knew him and will forever be remembered for his contributions to his community.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to a local charity or organization in Aurel's memory, as a way to continue his lifelong commitment to improving the lives of those around him.
