Audy's obituary

Gone Too Soon

With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of Audy, at 49 years old, who died unexpectedly on September 12, 2025. Her loss was completely unexpected and our family is shocked and deeply saddened.  She had a soul whose warmth, laughter, and love touched so many.

Born Audy, she carried many names through her life — Jeng Jeng, Sis, Ate, Hope — each one a reflection of the deep bonds she formed and the many hearts she touched. She was first a beloved daughter, and in time, she became a sister, a mother, an aunt, a friend — titles she wore with quiet pride and fierce love.

Her journey took her from the wide skies of Calgary, to the bustling streets of Toronto, to the warmth of Greer, South Carolina, and onward to the vibrant energy of Houston, Texas. Eventually, she found her way to Panama City, Florida, where she built a circle of friendship and belonging — each place marking a new chapter in her search for connection, purpose, and joy.

Her stories marked every step of that journey, weaving humor, heart, and honesty into conversations that drew people in and made them feel seen. She had a way of engaging those around her — turning simple moments into shared memories and leaving pieces of her spirit in every friendship she made.

She also had a deep and gentle love for animals, finding comfort and companionship in their pure, wordless affection. Whether caring for a pet or pausing to greet a stray, she saw in them the same unconditional love she tried to share with everyone she met.

To know her was to know someone who loved love — who gave it freely, who longed to be seen, needed, and embraced. In her laughter, her kindness, her gentleness, and her searching spirit, she reminded us of what it means to be human: to care deeply, to crave connection, to want to matter.

And she did matter. Deeply. She was relevant. She is remembered. And she is missed more than words can hold.

She leaves behind her loving parents, sister, brother, daughter, husband, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends across Canada, the United States, and the Philippines, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.  Audy’s family and friends will miss her more than words can say.  A memorial will be held sometime in November to honour her life and celebrate what would've been her 50th Birthday.

“What is loved is never lost. And she was loved so very much.” Unknown.
