Audrey's obituary

Audrey Slack, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on January 11, 2022. Born on March 10, 2000, Audrey lived a life that was as full of warmth and kindness as it was bubbling with silly humor and patience. She is cherished beyond measure and loved beyond words.

Audrey’s vibrant spirit was a beacon of light and love to everyone she encountered. Her personality could best be described as kind, caring, silly, and patient, a testament to the type of person she was. To know Audrey was to love her. Her energy was infectious, her laughter contagious, and her ability to always see the best in people was truly inspiring.

She left behind a legacy of patience and caring for others. Audrey believed in taking care of her family and friends. She would give you the shirt off her back and it was a trait she instilled in her loved ones. Her immense love for her family and friends was a quality to admire.

Audrey was enormously proud of her daughter Brooklyn.  A child who brings joy and light to all of our lives- a testament to Audrey's nurturing spirit and steadfast love. Audrey's spirit lives on through her daughter, as her mother's love continues to guide her through life.

Audrey enjoyed visiting the beach with her daughter, rooting for her Chiefs and Royals, and hanging out with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Brooklyn Slack, mother Christy Goodloe, father Leroy Slack, sister Katelin Robinson, brothers Michael Slack and Shawn Slack, as well as their spouses Kaitlyn Slack and Tiffany Quinn, and their children Cameron Hunt, Jayleigh Slack, Ezra Slack, Octavia Slack and Josie Slack, who will continue to honor Audrey’s memory by living out her lessons of love, patience, and kindness. Audrey's departure is a profound loss for us all and is a reminder of a beautiful life cut short.

While we feel the heartache of a life ended too soon, we take comfort in knowing that Audrey's essence lives on in each of us. Audrey Lynn Slack will forever be in our hearts as we live in a world that wasn't strong enough to keep her and we know she is in Heaven taking care of her precious niece Annalia Slack.

Until we meet again.
