Audrey had a flourishing career as a Pharmacist for over 30 years in Atlanta and Florida blessing and encouraging her patients and co-workers.
Audrey was very popular and would always invite her friends to her home in East Point. She always bragged and doted on her 'brother' Tony and although he was five years her junior, she loved having him tag along. After graduation, Audrey pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Nu Lambda Omega Chapter, March 1990 (East Point, GA). She was a faithful member and excited about sharing in the sisterhood of her Aunt and many friends. Audrey was God Mother and "Auntie Audrey Jean" to several of her friends' children and they all felt as if they were the only ones. Audrey was an excellent chef known for her culinary delights, impeccable decorating skills, and immaculate home.
Audrey followed her heart and relocated to Florida. She was excited to help Jonah raise his children Katera and Dominic. On September 4, 2001, the love of her life, Jada Simone, was born. Audrey worked to ensure that Jada would know love and security, she homeschooled, worked, and became a dance "momager". Audrey had a passion for the arts but she loved nothing more than to watch her daughter Jada dance.
At a young age, Audrey gave her life to Christ as a member at Ben Hill United Methodist Church under Bishop Cornelius Henderson. The training that she received at Ben Hill was evident when her family joined Christ the Rock Community Church where she shared her wit and love in leading small group studies. She was known for her bright personality and eccentric ways, and she lit up every room that she entered. She always gave out special treats to those she cared for to help brighten their day. When she wasn't spending time with family & friends, you could find her cleansing her crystals, tending to her herb garden, or painting in her Florida room. She is loved by those she touched and greatly missed by those she left behind.
