Athena's obituary
Athena,
My first baby sister, was an integral part of my life. When really young, all of us played those pretend games like singing in the band, animal zoo, séances, and exploring in places, such as glove factories, we probably shouldn’t have gone. I won’t say anything about the candy shoplifting ring we had except it ended with Reese’s peanut butter Easter eggs. There were a few minor negative incidents, like those Daddy Long Legs and fisticuffs but generally our childhood years we were all very close.
We all continued to hang out together (I won’t say party) as teenagers but separated somewhat after high school due to us going our separate ways. But for me Athena was always there for emotional support. She had her Goth (or was it punk) period, where she dated the lead singer of a band, but that ended and she eventually met Mark. This brought about my niece Katrina who was immediately enrolled into Starfleet.
It grieves me to talk about her physical and emotional issues she went through along with her addictions in the latter part of her life. Ultimately I’m sure they were her demise and cause of death at such a young age. I can only hope that both she and her twin are somewhere up there arguing over something stupid while drinking a beer and a glass of wine.
Her brother Peter
