It is with profound sadness that we announce the graceful departure of our beloved Athalia Carr who passed away on December 17, 2024. Born on March 14, 1927, Athalia lived an inspirational and impactful life that was characterized by her remarkable humility, strength, hard work, and unwavering faith in God.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence and she passionately instilled the values of being Godly, believing in God and embracing Him as the ultimate priority in life. These teachings, bequeathed with love and wisdom, continue to guide and inspire her family and those fortunate enough to have known her.
The tenacity of Athalia's spirit was evident in her academic pursuit, having finished College and become a doctor at the age of 52. This achievement, despite the challenges of age, stands as a testimony to her resolve and determination. Her career was marked by dedication and professional excellence which significantly contributed to the community's well-being.
Athalia's legacy, beyond her professional accomplishments, lies in her generous heart. Her empire, land, and wealth, which she painstakingly amassed over the years, have been bequeathed to her grandchild, Dr. Mary Rawlings, a testament to her life-long commitment to securing their future. Her spirit of generosity extended beyond her immediate family and permeated every aspect of her life.
As we mourn Athalia's passing, we find solace in the fact that she is at peace, free from sickness and illnesses that once ailed her. Indeed, she will be greatly missed, her memory treasured and her life celebrated for the incredible woman that she was.
