Aslan's obituary

I came, I saw, I conquered.

Aslan was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on October 11, 1997. She was born to Shilo Harwood (Wilson) at the age of 16.

She entered this physical realm strong-willed and on her own terms. Her delivery into this world was nothing short of a picture-perfect birth. The room was filled with aunts, uncles, grandpas, grandmas, great-grandmas, and the dearest of friends.

In her younger years, she showed her amazing love for music and dancing—recreating dance moves she saw in Disney movies and bobbing her head to music through her headphones.

Her mom often called her the “spiritual child.” She would speak of angels or share dreams before moments happened. Throughout her life, she demonstrated resiliency and strength. Even when she might not have seen it herself, it was clear for all of us to see.

She touched the hearts of many and had compassion for the underdogs in life, often giving her last dollars to someone in need.

She lived boldly, she loved the fast lane, and her style was anything but ordinary—often coloring her hair vibrant shades of blue, green, red, and pink. She expressed herself in ways that others couldn’t help but notice.

She loved being a gamer, working with computers, and embracing her “techy” side. She discovered skills and knowledge through the UGM program. Within that program, she learned to love herself, heal from trauma, and grow into who her soul was meant to be. She found true love in our Creator. During that time, she was happy and healthy.

Not everything turns out the way it was meant to be. Aslan’s life was full of both love and heartbreak. It was a beautiful story interwoven with tragedy that eventually consumed her. Let us not dwell on how she left, but instead remember the warmth of her soul, the intensity of her personality, her compassion and kindness, her fire and anger, her injustices and her triumphs.

Aslan departed this earth on August 12, 2025.

Her life was deeply connected with both those of blood and those of spirit. Every person had an intricate role in her being. Her life cannot be defined solely by the bloodline of her ancestors but also by all who grew from her tree.

Aslan leaves behind three beautiful children: Jaxson, Zephyr, and Xyler; her mom and dad, Shilo and Ralph Harwood; her brother and sister, Micah and Chloe; her biological father, Zachary King, and the King siblings.

Grandparents: Roger Wilson and the Wilson family; Karen and Karl Morrison, the Morrison and Chaney families; Traci and Joe Rodriguez and the Harwood family; uncle Elijah Chaney and family; cousin Cassidy and the Wikum family; aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Wilson, Laumer, Hayes, Johnson, Sequin, Williams, Coggins, and Nordlind families.

She was welcomed into the afterlife by many loved ones: her great-grandparents Wilson, great-grandparents Chaney, Grandma Seguin, her unborn sibling, great-aunts, uncles, and dear family friends who are guiding her now.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in Spirit."
