Background

My niece, Ashlie Myers, passed away Wednesday May 15, 2024. Ashlie was only 33 years old at the time she passed. Cause of death is probable drug overdose under suspicious circumstances. She was found deceased in a hotel room, by herself, that was not on her name. She struggled for many years with drug addiction but had told her mom, my sister, that she wanted to try rehab again. My sister saw her the Friday before she passed and she wasn't on anything and optimistic about life.
My sister is unable to pay for any kind of funeral for a young lady who deserves to be remembered. She had a goodness in her and a light that drugs or addiction couldn't completely snuff out. She was challenging but a beautiful soul who will be missed by many . Our hearts are broken 💔 and the world is a darker place without her. In spite of her struggles she had dreams, she had a zest for life although her demons tried to hide the true Ashlie she was always there just beneath the surface for those who looked. She had faults like everyone but she didn't deserve to die alone so I want her to look down and see her friends and family remembering her and helping one another through this difficult time and her to know she was so loved. My sister is on a very fixed income and unable to afford what is needed to have a proper funeral for her child. She's struggling with the loss and overwhelmed with the cost. If you could find it on your heart to help you'd have our eternal heartfelt and sincere thanks and we'd be forever grateful for your kindness.
