It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ashley Smith on December 1, 2025. Born on April 9, 1988, Ashley lived a full and vibrant life.

Ashley will be greatly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her mother, Pamela Smith; her brothers, Timothy and Joshua Smith; her sister, Nicole Nelson, and her precious children, Calvin and Elizabeth McGee. She was predeceased by her father, Tom Smith, and her beloved grandparents, Mark and Susan Gronlund.

Ashley was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in 2017. A passionate Vikings fan, Ashley never missed a game and enjoyed tailgating with friends and family. In her free time, Ashley loved to hike, finding peace and tranquility amongst nature's splendour.

Her love for travel was evident in her many vacations to Cancoon. Back home, her favorite local spot was the football field, where she cheered wholeheartedly, rain or shine, for her favorite teams. Ashley was a beacon of joy and life to all who knew her.

A funeral service in honor of Ashley will be held on December 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church. Followers will continue to celebrate Ashley's life on December 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM in Delano. These gatherings will not just mourn her passing but also celebrate a life well-lived and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.

In these moments of mourning, we remember Ashley not just for the absence her death creates, but for the joy, love, and warmth she brought into our lives. Her memory will forever be cherished.
