Ashley's obituary

Ashley Belen (Harris) Skarnikat, of Hereford, Arizona, passed away on June 28, 2024, after a brief, but fierce fight against Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Ashley was born on March 17, 1983, to Paul and Deborah (Tice) Eubank in Corpus Christi, Texas. She lived most of her life in Corpus Christi, later moving to Hereford, Arizona.

Ashley loved her children Claire and Ilyana Harris dearly. Her pride bubbled through as she shared stories of their creativity, cleverness, and kindness. Ashley was her father’s daughter, embodying his independent spirit and holding lessons he taught her close to her heart throughout her adult life. In the last months of her life, Ashley focused on spending time with her family.

Ashley was a beautiful, untamed soul, full of love and adventure. Ashley enjoyed hiking, crafting, and cooking for family and friends. She had a passion and curiosity for life and people. She felt emotions profoundly, evident in how deeply she cared for and loved her chosen people.

Ashley was claimed as a sister, mother, daughter and cherished friend by many. She had a knack for knowing exactly what a person needed to hear, whether it be praise, words of love and comfort, or blunt honesty. Though she was physically small, she had a huge impact on the lives of those who loved her.

Ashley was predeceased by her beloved “Gramma,” Opal Tice. She is survived by her sweet daughters Claire and Ilyana Harris, her parents Paul and Debby Eubank, her sister Whitney (Will) Kaberle, and her nephew, Logan Kaberle.

Ashley was so loved and is sorely missed. A service will be scheduled in coming weeks to celebrate and remember our dear Ashley. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
