What were Art's favorite sports teams?

Dad loved sports. He loved watching college and professional football. He often went to local high schools on Friday nights to watch their games. He would go to Taco Bell and drink a beer on his way to the game. He loved a good game and enjoyed watching student-athletes compete. Notre Dame, USC, Stanford, and Oregon were some of his favorite college teams. He went to a Notre Dame game years ago with his great friend, Sweeny. It was in October around his birthday. I ordered a six-pack and had it in his room waiting for him and Sweeny to celebrate his birthday. He couldn't believe it. This football season was the first season my dad and I didn't get to talk about the teams. I told him the pro bowl was going to be tackle and he was disgusted. When he lived with us, he would often watch sports. He was always amazed when a Super Bowl or playoff game came on. He would ask, I didn't know football season started or I can't believe they're in the Super Bowl. I would try to tell him it was a Classic but it didn't matter. He enjoyed all of the football. He was the same with baseball. He and I used to go to Blair Field to watch the Dirtbags. We would talk about the plays and strategies. He was so smart. I often wondered how do you know all these things and who taught you. I believe he learned the game from himself, his coaches, and his friends who were coaches. When dad started to fade out, he could still hold a solid conversation about football. Love you pops!
