This memorial fund is being set up in lieu of flowers. Donations can still be made directly two M1 for Vets or cash/checks can be dropped of with myself, this fund is to make the process as easy as possible. M1 for Vets is a non-profit profit that focuses on getting combat wounded veterans into the NRA and CMP matches. If you knew my father, then you know hewas passionate about M1 Garands and Carbines. We shot along side this great group of people for years and he would make donations when we seen them.
This will carry on Arthur Wise's legacy by continuing to contribute to an organization that he found value in. Out of the thousands if not tens of thousands of people they encounter during events, they remembered my dad. The last time we seen them my father had won a cash prize from one of their raffles. He turned around and donated half of it back to them. This was a memorable moment for me as well as M1 for Vets. This is why M1 for Vets stands out as the appropriate organization for a memorial.
As mentioned, M1 for Vets is a non profit that help get our combat wounded veterans into the NRA and CMP matches. Many of which are amputees and double amputees. It is remarkable seeing these people compete and doing what they love. Contribute
