Background
Skip was living in Douglas, Arizona and found on he had cancer In November of 2021. We brought him home to Sacramento . When they got home here in Sacramento, Ca we didn’t hesitate and set up appointments with the VA hospital immediately, so we could kick this cancers ASS!! He was only here a week, and he ended up in the emergency room. He went through 4 spinal surgeries We thought he beat cancer .. but little did we know that was just the start of it…
He was going to chemo and radiation appointment. He was supposed to get a liver transplant and blood transfusion. We had so much faith, and didn’t know, he really had only little time left.
June 22, 2022 he was a little out of it. He had tried to get up by himself with his walker helping him walk, and he had fell on the floor. so we took him to the hospital.June 26th, he was too out of it. We called the ambulance, they said it was a good thing we called because he wasn’t in great condition. Skip ended up in the hospital with a collapsed lung, He spent from June 26th-July 6th in the hospital. During that stay, We found out he now had stage 4 cancer. The cancer has spread all through out his body, including in his bones.. July 6th he came home, on oxygen. We thought we had at least a couple months with him, but we didn’t. He was home 3 days, and ended up back in the hospital again July 9th because we noticed he was swelling. Paramedics came and picked him up, kept him 2 days and this was it. We had to put him on hospice care. he came home on July 11th at 7pm and we did our best to make him comfortable and pain free. Everyone had their final goodbyes with him and we just showed him so much love!! July 12th, around 11am, Skip took his last breath in his sleep and now rides with the angels.
All donations will go to his memorial service and cover the cost of urns for his children, and small ones for his close friends and family, cover the cost of everything for the memorial service Such as a the venue, memorial service programs for family and friends, dove release, food and drinks, beautiful signs of skip , and and other items needed to make the service beautiful and a celebration of Skips life! We are hoping that at the end of the service, whoever has a motorcycle, we can leave his service for a ride in memory of Skip, as well all know he loved to ride!
In loving memory of Skip, we are hoping to alleviate some of the financial stress, such as the memorial service, for his children . Alex has gave so much of himself to his father and to everyone around him, we hope, in some way, to be able to give something back so they can heal and grieve during this heartbreaking time.
Any donation is appreciated, as well as shares.
