Arthur F. Poley, 83, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie.  Mr. Poley was retired from IBM in Poughkeepsie, with over 42 years of service, retiring in 1984.  He served in the United States Army during World War II.  Born February 15, 1918 in New York, N.Y., he was the son of Arthur F. and Rose Nolan Poley.  On October 20, 1946 in Hackensack, NJ, he married Hope Schiefer.  In addition to his beloved wife, Hope Poley, of Poughkeepsie, he is also survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Poley of Hollywood, California; Susan Straumann of Sicklerville, NJ; a son, Arthur Poley of Richmond, VA; granddaughter, Jessica Poley; and a sister, Patricia Bingell of Deltona, FL.  Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetary.  Arrangements by Robert H.
