Art was a loyal and thoughtful friend for over three decades, and we were all incredibly saddened to hear of his passing earlier this year. He was always a hard worker who maintained a positive outlook no matter what life threw at him, and would consistently keep in touch with his friends, especially during the holidays. Even though it’s been a few years since we’d gotten together in person, I’m glad we were still in touch right up until a few months before his journey in this life was complete. I’ll fondly remember Art and I playing hacky sack outside Latham Circle Mall as kids, Art/Shankar/myself being in the front row for an amazing Dio concert together in 1998, the three of us hanging out in Quincy Market during our college years, the multiple times he and I saw Type O Negative (one of his very favorite bands) in concert together in the early 2000’s, and just catching up with him in general whenever life would allow. You are missed Art, perhaps our paths will cross again. Om.
