Arthur Neal Lihte, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Arthur lived a long and active life. He served in the United States Navy and later worked in law enforcement, but his primary love was Karate. Over more than six decades, he trained extensively, competed in and won numerous tournaments, and in 1992 opened his own Karate school in Tennessee. He retired from teaching in 2016 and returned to Florida to be near family.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 36 years, Laraine “Lory” Lihte; his daughters, Laurie Phelps and Lana Randolph (Dave); his grandchildren, Justin Phelps, Jessica Thacker (Zack), and Julia Randolph; and his great-grandchildren, Zoey and Zachary. He is also survived by many loved extended family members.

Arthur is now reunited with his parents and brothers, who passed before him.
