My prayers go out to the Davis family after hearing the news of Mr. Art Davis' passing. I met Art and Wendy when I joined Zion Baptist Church under the pastorage of Dr. Leon H. Sullivan. They were a very kind couple, and they welcomed me to their home for dinner many times. At that time, I was a ministerial student at Princeton Theological Seminary. My wife and I, Charisse, was married at Zion in 1978, and Wendy made my wife's dress. I have always been grateful for their love, although my life journey as a minister and public school teacher took me back to Los Angeles, CA., where I pastored for many years. Charisse passed away after 34 years of marriage, leaving behind our 5 children, and 6 grandchildren.  It is my hope that God will forever fill Mrs. Davis with his presence and love.
