Arthur Joseph Cahill passed away on November 26, 2017 at his home in Naples, FL with his wife, Sharon, by his side. He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Rossi) Cahill of Naples, FL (formerly of Lynnfield and Peabody, MA), and a dedicated father to Robert Cahill and wife Suzanne of Holliston, MA, Michael Cahill of Boston, MA, Susan Cahill and husband Austin DeGarmo of Tabernash, CO, Kerry (Cahill) Zaino and husband Bart of Wilmington, MA, and Eric Kellar and wife Sally of Bedford, NH. Art cherished his role as Grandfather to Megan and Ryan Cahill, Owen and Joey DeGarmo, Bart and Kimberly Zaino, and Matthew and Scarlett Kellar. Art is survived by his loving sister, Mary Lou Cahill of Quincy, MA, as well his brother Francis Cahill and his family. Many friends, including his children’s Uncle, Hank Smith, and his wife Mary of Topsfield, MA and Naples, FL and their family, remember him fondly. His parents, Joseph and Louise Cahill of Quincy, MA, preceded Art in death.

Art was born in South Boston, MA and was raised in Quincy, MA; he raised his children in Reading, MA and went on to live with his wife Sharon in Peabody, MA before they retired to Naples, FL together.

Art spent his career as a high school Biology teacher in Wakefield, MA and enjoyed many years helping friends and customers at Reading Lumber Co in North Reading, MA. He graduated from Boston College and was an avid Boston sports fan. More than anything, he was a great man who adored his family and will be deeply missed by them.

The family will celebrate Art's life in private but extend their heartfelt thanks to friends and family for their recent condolences.
