Arthur Dustin “Dusty”  Braaksma, 52, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away on April 14, 2024, in Yorkville, Illinois. Dusty was a loving Dad, Pepaw, brother, and friend to many. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching movies, working on projects with his son, and bringing smiles to everyone around him. Dusty was a devoted fan of the Chicago Bulls, Bears, and Cubs.He had a kind heart, always willing to help others and ensure their happiness.     Dusty is survived by his son, Jonathan Dustin (Jazmine) Braaksma; daughter, Emilee Danielle (Matthew) Kimble; brothers, Bobby Higgins, Rick Higgins, Terry Higgins, Johnnie Braaksma; sister, Lisa Hartman (Braaksma);grandchildren, Ava Marie Vandermark, Kylee Marie Pearson, Lakelyn Danielle Braaksma, Oaklee Ryan Kimble, Ryder Lee Kimble, Greyson Jon Maverick Braaksma, Hudson Lee Dustin Braaksma, and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Theodora (Teddy) Braaksma; father, John Braaksma; and brother, Ronnie Braaksma.

Dusty worked as a Roofer for over 30 years. A service to celebrate Dusty's life will be held at Lebanon Full Gospel Church, 1104 Lebanon St,

Aurora, IL 60505, on Saturday, April 27th at 11:00 am. Dusty will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
