Aroon K. Anand, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19th, 2019 in Abington, Pennsylvania. He was born in Peshawar, India, current-day Pakistan, to C.L. & Saraswati Anand on the 15th of February, 1936.
On March 9th, 1970, Aroon married Veena Nanda of Dera Baba Nanak, Punjab. They celebrated 49 years of marriage before his passing. Aroon started his career as a costume designer as he spoke 6 languages. He enjoyed various sports including cricket and football. A worldly gentleman, he attended and completed his undergrad in India. He also immigrated with his wife and son to the United States on November 22nd, 1992 to join his family.
He is survived by his wife, Veena; his son, Ajay Anand; one grandchild, Ashley Anand; one sister, Chandra Chadha, husband of deceased Inder Chadha; one brother Vijay Anand, husband of Shardha Anand; as well as many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Ramesh Anand, husband of Anita Anand; brother-in-law Inder Chadha.
His family remembers him as a kind, honest, and generous man. He touched every soul he encountered. Friends and family are welcomed to attend a Celebration of Life at Huff & Lakjer Funeral home in Lansdale, PA. Services will convene between 12 and 2 pm. The funeral home is also entrusted with arrangements.
