Arnold R. Dahlberg passed away peacefully at his home in Paradise Valle on March 7, 2021. Arnie was born April 24, 1923 on a small dairy farm in Wilson, Wisconsin. He joined the Air Force soon after graduating from high school in 1940 and was stationed at Williams Air Force Base, his first introduction to the State of Arizona. After being discharged from service in 1943 he attended the University of Minnesota and became a member and Treasurer of the Phi Gamma Delta faternity. The president of the fraternity introduced him to the game of golf and his love for the game was born. Arnold founded his first enterprise, The Dahlberg Company, while in his last year of college. The company started out selling radios and pillow speakers to hospitals. Ken Dahlberg, Arnie's brother, joined the company a few years later and together they developed the Miracle Ear hearing aid. At the suggestion of his doctor, he moved to a drier climate, Arnie and his first wife Nancy and their two children relocated to Arizona in 1965. It was in Arizona that Arnie became actively involved in real estate development. His most note-worthy project was The Lake Development in Tempe which earned top accolades from the Nation Homebuilders Association.

Arnie greeted everyone he met with a warm smile and a firm handshake. He loved to tell stories of his life starting with the day he left the farm with a $10 bill from his father. As the youngest male of the family, he always said that leaving his Dad alone to run the family farm was one of the hardest decisions he ever made. For a young man coming from an austere beginning, he made success in every business venture that he engaged in. He was a tireless worker and never shied away from a challenge. He lived a full, blessed life, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
