Arlie's obituary
Arlie Agnes Tennill (Harrison) March 9, 1950 – August 31, 2025
Arlie Agnes Tennill, 75, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025. She was born on March 9, 1950, in Brackettville, Texas, to the late Lola Mae and Louis Gorham Harrison.
Arlie was a bright light of a soul who never met a stranger. Her kindness and generosity were boundless—she would do anything she could to help anyone in need. A devoted mother to six children who deeply loved and adored her, Arlie’s greatest joy was found in her family.
She lived a life full of love, laughter, and simple joys. She cherished traveling, dining out, and spending time with her children. Her happiest moments were often spent on the front porch, talking with family and friends, savoring the everyday blessings of life.
Arlie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Edwin Tennill, and by her sisters Alice Floyd and Mae Kaufman, and her brothers Louis Gorham Harrison, and William Harrison.
She is survived by her six children: Mary Moore (Joe) of Shelbyville, Kentucky; Amanda Phillips (Alex) of Springboro, Ohio; Anna Wingenroth of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Lois Wingenroth of San Antonio, Texas; Eric Graves of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Carl Graves of Corpus Christi, Texas. Arlie was a proud grandmother to Joshua Hinojosa, Carter Moore, Brittany Graves, Norah and Grayson Phillips, Justin, Caden, and Harlow Wingenroth, and Breanna Cummings, and a great-grandmother to four cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Clifford Harrison of Denver Colorado, many nieces and nephews as well as beloved cousins.
Arlie built a rich and varied career as a homemaker, bookkeeper, sales associate, and fuel manager at Kroger in Middletown, Kentucky, where she worked for 15 years before retiring. She will be remembered for her warmth, her selflessness, and the love she poured into her family and all who knew her.
A celebration of Arlie’s life will be held in Kerrville, Texas, at a later date.
Her legacy of kindness, love, and light will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
