Born Arlene Mary Bruhn on August 13, 1933, to Alfred & Hilda (Meyer) Bruhn in Cylinder, Iowa. Baptized September 10, 1933, and confirmed March 21, 1948, in the Lutheran faith at Fairville Church in Cylinder, Iowa.
On January 4, 1952, Arlene married Richard Preston in Cylinder, Iowa and to them five children were born – Carolyn (deceased), Mickey, Pamela, Kenneth, and Gary. Richard & Arlene farmed in Ringsted, Iowa until 1972 when …
