Thinking of my Mom and Dad on their anniversary
Thinking of you Dad on what would have been your 89th birthday.  Love forever:)
Having the joy and privilege of knowing their children for decades and their grandchildren, and now seeing this moving tribute from friends and family, I'm deeply grateful for the gifts these beautiful people have left behind about how to love one another on this earth. Jeff, Justin, Leslie, Jessica, your loss is heartbreaking. All of our gain for the blessings we've received from Lenny and Arlene will continue to be felt for generations. May they rest in peace.

I had the honor of knowing Lenny and Arlene when they stayed at the Marriott Residence Plainview for years in the summer time. Two beautiful amazing people and so much in love... Their love for each other and their family is truly an example to all of us... So sorry for your loss....
There were only fun times when Jack and I were with Arlene & Lenny. Then the fun times continued when I was a widow but in thinking about the past, one time comes to the forefront. It was a long time ago when Arlene & Lenny were still living in East Meadow. My sister-in-law, Betty was visiting from Chicago. Betty Hoffman Prichason grew up on West St. babysitting for Jerry & Lenny. By the time Eli came along Betty was busy dating her future husband, Al Prichason. Your great grandmother, grandmother, and mother, Anna November Horowitz used to baby sit Betty and Jackie (as the family called him) back then. Betty always had to see the Horowitz's when she visited New York. Lobster was on the menu for our visit to Arlene & Lenny. As we lived in Valley Stream, it was not inconvenient for us to pick up the live lobsters in Freeport. Of course Lenny had to do the boiling. The day spent with our host and hostess was filled with fun, laughter and love - not to be forgotten.
To all of the Horowitz family
DIDI and I were honored to know Len and Arlene and, as you can imagine, miss them. We remember time at the satellite pool with Lenny and his music. I expected him to be here forever and never imagined following him as condo president. I only hope that I can be nearly as successful as he was. I thank him for all of his advice and for setting the standard for condo leadership.
May his memory be a blessing.

Fond memories as a child with Dad saying on any given Sunday afternoon to Mom, my sisters and I - "let's go for some Chow Fun at Wo Hop" - and off we went to Manhattan for Chinese Food (and of course a Cannoli afterward in Little Italy) from our home in East Meadow, Long Island- often meeting up with our aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and a friend or two along the way...

Lenny was so supportive and he loved taking care of his family. I loved watching Lenny and Arlene’s pure joy as they spent time with their grandkids. They were inseparable and together they showed us the meaning of deep love and family.

Arlene and Lenny were unique and great in many ways. Together they were even greater than the sum of their attributes, They each provided a lesson on a life well lived, and together a master class on marriage. Rest in piece.

I'd like to share a post I just put out on Facebook:
My beautiful, wonderful, caring Mom passed away on February 7, 2021.
During the 22nd hour after the 22nd day of her passing, my strong, incredible, role model - my Dad - joined her.
(22 has had a special 'meaning' in the Horowitz Family ever since our beloved Uncle Jerry - Dad's older brother - had the number ' 22' on his NYC taxi cab - if you know any of the Horowitz family member, we can tell you fascinating stories about the number 22)
I write this post in Facebook as Mom would have wanted me to do. As some of you know, Mom had an insatiable desire to connect with people and over the past few years Facebook was an important medium for her to do so.
Mom was a caring, giving, loving person who truly (I mean truly!) Listened. She loved her family very much and she gave us not only her love, but uncompromised commitment and devotion... I miss our talks and her moving the conversation to: "let’s talk about 'the' kids!"
I miss hearing her voice, her expressions and her words of encouragement. She was so very proud of her family and while she gave her honest view of people and the world, she always strived to see and to encourage others to see the positive aspects of life. Her desire was to CONNECT with people in a profound and meaningful way - particularly with her family. Above it all, she loved her darling, Lenny...
For Dad (Lenny), it was all about his beautiful Arlene and his family. But he also gave his all to his career so that he could provide for his family and he gave back to his community, asking nothing in return but an occasional thank you. If you knew Lenny, you know that he had his opinions and he was not afraid to share them with you (just don't ask him to do so while he was enjoying a nice meal). Dad touched so, so many people in so many ways. He provided guidance, encouragement, support and mentorship. And for those in a jam and in need of financial support, he was there, particularly when it came to education or to help improve someone's life- he only asked that if he gave to you, you should pay it forward... The way that he cared for people he loved and the way that he provided support to them is truly inspiring.
He would often say "there are no problems, only solutions”. Well...
His final solution to the problem of living on this mortal earth without his darling, beloved, sweetheart - Arlene, was this: Give it 22 days (and did I mention during the 22nd hour after the 22nd day?) - join her. So, he did!
They are together now, just like they always wanted.
Mom and Dad:
While we miss you here on earth, we know you're keeping your love alive in eternity and that gives us some resemblance of comfort.
I love you both so very much... now and forever! (and Mom, I can hear you say "love you more")

Such a heartbreaking loss. Fond memories of many smiles and perfectly cooked bbq. Truly blessed to have them in our lives. We will miss them dearly.
