It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arianna Walt, age 14, of Kitchener, Ontario, on September 2, 2020. Arianna spent her life in foster care, but despite the challenges she faced, her warmth, compassion, and radiant smile touched everyone around her. She was a devoted older sister to four younger siblings, sharing an unbreakable bond with her closest friend and sister, Teagan, known to her as “Teags.”

Arianna loved reading and music, often finding solace and joy in the stories  that inspired her. She dreamed of studying oncology, hoping one day to bring comfort and healing to others, especially children, who she adored. Her presence could light up any room, and her absence leaves a space that will never be filled.

Though Arianna’s time with us was heartbreakingly short, her spirit, kindness, and love for life will be forever remembered. In her memory, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), supporting the care and hope that Arianna wished for in the lives of others.
