Ariana's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ariana M. Rogers, who lost her courageous battle with depression. Ariana was born on August 19, 1989 in Thousand Oaks, California. She was engaged in the arts as a young child and began singing in the children's choir at Holy Cross Church and continued with the adult choir. She also started dance at the age of three and often shared the stage with her brothers in productions of The Nutcracker and other works. During her time at Moorpark High School, Ariana was a member of the ACADECA team, but one of her proudest accomplishments was graduating from the University of California, Berkeley. She continued her education as a post-graduate, which culminated with her receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and entering the medical workforce. She was devoted to the vegan/vegetarian lifestyle and an avid advocate for the humane treatment of all animals. She was a ray of light and a source of kindness and gentle strength to all who encountered her.
Ariana leaves behind so many people who are grateful for the times they shared, but who also grieve the loss of a life cut short. She is survived by her father, John M. Rogers, Jr., her mother, Nancy M. Rogers, her brothers John and Anthony Rogers, her grandparents, Gino and Della Spinelli, and Joan Rogers, as well as a nephew, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and family and friends too numerous to mention. Ariana will live on in the cherished memories of all who knew her.
