I am so very sorry to hear about Dr. Abel's passing. I met him only once just a few weeks ago and was so impressed with his professional demeanor and kindness! My condolences to the family.

I am so very saddened to learn of the passing of Ari . I knew him first as a 5th grader in a gym class and then forward through his high school years. He was always energetic and fun with an endless smile and a booming personality. When I became Director of Alumni at Tatnall, we reconnected many times at functions...specifically Homecoming and the Golf Outing. My fondest memories of him were at that Golf Outing. He always wore wild, crazy golf pants and always seemed to be having a great time with his foursome, many of whom were his classmates. Through all his fun and antics, he always had a sense of purpose, which he accomplished and accomplished well. It comes as no surprise to me that his patients write nothing but glowing accolades about Ari in their evaluations. And his support and loyalty to Tatnall were unmeasurable. Our community has lost a great man. Like countless others, my thoughts and prayers are with Ari's family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ari's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his loving family. I had the privilege of calling him a friend for many, many years. He was one of the first people I met when I started attending Tatnall in the 5th grade. He greeted me on the bus to school with enthusiasm and kindness, making me feel welcome in an unfamiliar place.
We went on to share many of the same classrooms throughout middle school and high school, where his sense of humor helped make the difficult classes less tedious. I saw him more sporadically in recent years but always left those encounters struck by his warmth, generosity, and positive energy. I will always remember his friendship and the impact he had on me.

I had the privilege of being friends with "Tim" in high school and then again as Ari in adulthood. He always had an unforgettable smile and infectious personality that touched everyone who knew him. I am so deeply saddened to hear of his sudden passing. My heart goes out to his beautiful family during this unimaginable loss. I hope they find strength in love that surrounds them and comfort in the lasting impact Ari made on so many people.

Tim was a couple years behind me at Wesleyan; we knew each other primarily through the fraternity. As an individual, I’ll always remember the fit, friendly, bright-eyed guy creating positive energy throughout the house. But, like anyone, his true legacy should be measured by the impact he had on all of his friends — something that was evident from the first day I met him. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Ari’s sudden passing. Ari was at Albany Medical College 2001-2003 where he completed his oculofacial plastic surgery fellowship. He was my first fellow and “crushed it” as we still like to say. He was extremely well-liked by patients and staff alike, and set the tone for the many fellows that followed over the subsequent years.
I can speak for all of us in the ophthalmology community who will remember Ari fondly as an outstanding doctor who really cared for his patients. I know he was extremely well-regarded in the Delaware and surrounding areas where he practiced.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ari's family, friends patients and coworkers. The Love is Strong…

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ari’s passing and want to express my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
While I hadn’t stayed in close touch with Ari over the years, he left a lasting impression on me. About 20 years ago, as a young surgeon, he performed eyelid surgery on my father and did an exceptional job. It meant a great deal to my family and spoke volumes about his skill, care, and character even early in his career.
I also remember Ari from our time at Tatnall, where he truly stood out. He was someone people looked up to—socially, academically, and athletically. He carried himself with confidence, kindness, and a great spirit that made him respected and admired by so many.
Hearing this news hit me hard. Ari was one of those rare individuals who made an impression that stayed with you.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

I worked with Ari for over 20 years in the operating room and we always loved his sense of humor and compassion for his patients. But the thing I will remember most is his endless love and dedication to Chloe and Scarlett. His screen saver was a photo of the three of them and he talked of them so frequently I felt like knew them personally. He will be remembered as a wonderful father and a good friend. Tragic loss of a bright light gone too soon.

I am in shock still at the news of Tim's passing, as I'm sure many of his friends, colleagues, family, and patients are. There are videos of him on Instagram from just over a week ago looking healthy and fine. I keep hoping beyond hope that it's not true. I went to college with Tim. Our doors were immediately across from each other freshman year. He was the first person I met at Wesleyan. We both showed up early to school for a wilderness orientation and were unpacking our rooms at the same time, talking about how weird it was that we were both finally at college. He was an excellent fellow and I'm sorry that I never reconnected with him as I lived not far away in PA these last 20 years. His sense of humor was brilliant. He was exactly the kind of person you'd want around you at college: life of the party, hilarious, a real character, a great guy. Always knew he'd make a great doctor. Many condolences to the family and all who knew him.

I knew Ari during the years we were both working toward medical school, and even then he stood out as kind, sincere, and genuinely compassionate. Though our paths went in different directions, I’ve always remembered him that way. My heart goes out to Rob and Mike and to all who loved him.

I was Tim’s RA his freshman year and later Fraternity Brother. He came into Wesleyan with energy and enthusiasm! I can still picture him on the hallway, smiling and mischievous in a positive way, at least his intent. He is gone too soon, the world better he was here. Thoughts, prayers and condolences to his friends, patients and especially his family.

My heart goes out to you and your family during this unimaginable loss. He was taken far too soon. As an eye doctor, he devoted his life to helping others see the world more clearly, and that generosity of spirit will always be part of his legacy. May God surround you with strength, comfort you with loving memories, and grant peace to his soul and to all who loved him.
