April's obituary
On April 17, 1979 in Lexington, Kentucky April Dawn Wallace came into this world, a force of nature born to Susan Elaine Wallace. Her recent passing marks a reunion with her beloved grandmother, "Mimi" Grace Darnell Arnold, whose absence she felt deeply every day.
April leaves behind her most cherished achievements: her two sons, Kane Lathery and Shayne Yeager. She loved them with a fierceness she often doubted she deserved. To her friends, April wasn't the one you'd call for sensible advice — unless a night in jail sounded like a good idea. She was the kind of friend who'd sit beside you at rock bottom, bringing throw pillows, lighting candles, offering nothing but her comforting presence to make the dark times a bit less lonely.
Her life was a collection of the wildest, most cherished stories and memories. They say those who burn twice as bright burn half as long. April stumbled often, but it was clear to all who knew her that she was destined to find her way eventually.
Her journey was cut short too soon. Yet, in the time she had, April lived freely, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to have shared in her light. There wasn't a predictable thing about her; it was the chaos that made her interesting.
She leaves behind many dear friends and family members: Breanna Carroll, sister-in-law, of Liberty. Bobby Curtis, friend of Lexington. Jennifer Cross, lifelong friend, Lexington. Joyce Preston, aunt and cousins JP and Joseph (Rebecca) Parker of Lexington.
April is preceded in death by her mother, Susan Elaine Wallace. Maternal grandparents, Grace Darnell Arnold and Wellman 'Slick' Wallace. Kenneth Ray Lathery, special friend.
