April's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. April Sharp, who departed this world on December 11, 2024. Born on July 30, 1979, April touched many lives with her sparkling wit, unyielding honesty and tremendous dedication to her family and work.
April was predeceased by her mother, Lisa Gorman. She leaves behind her beloved children, Destany Sharp, Donald Sharp and Ronald Sharp, her grandchildren, Aubrey, Riley, and Mason, who all were her greatest pride and joy. She is also survived by her brothers, Jeremy, Ryan, and Chris Burkindine. She would often reminisce with a sense of fulfillment that her greatest accomplishments in life were her children, grandchildren, and being apart of a family so accepting and loving.
A graduate of Monroe County High School, Tompkinsville, KY in 1998, April pursued further education at the University of Phoenix, Philadelphia, PA, earning her Associate of Arts in Health Administration in 2007. A hardworking and dedicated woman, she used her education and career to set a beautiful example for her children, demonstrating the value of perseverance and diligence.
April had a deep appreciation for simple pleasures in life. She loved napping, watching her favorite TV shows such as Charmed, Game of Thrones, and Once Upon a Time, and spending quality time with her family, often accompanied by her preferred overly-caffeinated iced coffee.
Music and her beloved dog Athena were constant companions to April. She had a special love for the color purple and championed the importance of living life for oneself, often sharing the wisdom, "The days are long, but the years are short." Her caring nature extended beyond her family as she was passionate about supporting causes close to her heart.
April's departure is a tremendous loss to those fortunate to have known her. Her legacy of love, dedication, and strength remains in the hearts of her family, and those who were incredibly blessed to experience her. April Sharp will be profoundly missed, yet lovingly remembered, every day.
